Usecases and requirements
OCXR requires a document with a standardized structure (one or several layouts that define the positions of text fields), that contains latin characters. OCXR can not be used for extraction of identity documents issued by government bodies. Cognexa uses the core of OCXR technology also for reading utility consumption meters
, car odometers
, signs, industrial product signatures, and more.
Use OCXR whenever the accuracy of conventional tools such as Tesseract is not sufficient. That is usually if any of the

- When accuracy over 99% per field is required
